After a career in the Army, Brian Edwards is enjoying the slower pace of retirement. He occasionally likes to play Hoosier Lottery Draw games to add a little fun to his day.

With the Powerball® jackpot nearing $1 billion, Brian decided to purchase a couple of tickets when he was getting gas for his lawnmower. The day after the drawing, he heard that the jackpot had been won and grabbed his tickets to see whether he might possibly be the big winner.

He was disappointed when he saw that he had matched only five of the six numbers and did not win the enormous jackpot, but that disappointment quickly turned to excitement when he checked the prize amounts online and realized he won $50,000!

“Then I saw the multiplier,” Brian said, “and thought, ‘Did I really just win $100,000??’”

He had indeed won $100,000 due to the 2X multiplier and the fact that he added Power Play® to his ticket.

When Brian told his wife, she was in disbelief.

Brian plans to use his winnings to take a vacation and possibly purchase a motor home.
